« Back to Health TipsEarn a $50 Reward – Mammograms Made Easy for BCBSAZ Health Choice Pathway Members
BCBSAZ Health Choice knows there is nothing more important than early detection in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. Breast cancer is sometimes found after symptoms appear, but many women with breast cancer have no symptoms. This is why regular breast cancer screening is so important and why we are inviting members to attend one of our upcoming breast cancer screening events. Members between the ages of 50 to 74 receive a $50 reward through our Healthy Rewards program.

Learn more about what you can do to help detect breast cancer early.
Early detection is the key to surviving breast cancer. 1 in 8 women, or approximately 13% of the female population in the U.S., will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers. It is estimated that in 2023, approximately 30% of all new female cancer diagnoses will be breast cancer. Help fight breast cancer by getting screened!
The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends:
- Women who are 50 to 74 and are at average risk for breast cancer get a mammogram every two years.
- Women who are 40 to 49 should talk to their doctor or other health care provider about when to start and how often to get a mammogram.
